Hunt

Verb

Meaning: To search, chase and kill animals or birds for food, sports, and profit.

Synonyms:

Howl

Verb

Meaning: A loud painful cry of an animal like a wolf or dog

Chirping

Verb

Meaning: Short sharp and high-pitched sounds of birds or insects

  • The morning chirping sound of the birds has a relaxing effect on my mind.

Barking

Verb

Meaning: A loud and abrupt cry of a dog, fox, or seal.

Verb

Verb

Meaning: To slowly move your body with one’s hands and knees on the ground.

  1. By the ninth month, most babies start crawling and can eat solid food.
  2. There was a small tunnel and we had to crawl through it to make it to the other end.

Verb

Meaning: A long, loud cry by something like a wild animal (lion)

Habitat

Noun

Meaning: The natural environment where an animal and plant lives and grows.

Synonyms:

Antonyms:

  • Artificial surrounding
  • Foreign territory

Example Sentences

  1. The best growth of an organism occurs in its natural habitat. 
  2. Parrots like to live in a forestry type of habitat.
